BMI Innovation Limited and IFMA is glad to organize a seminar of “Listed private enterprises: Investigating financial risk and corporate valuation” on 13 January, 2012 (Friday). The seminar was organized for financial reporters and editors. It mainly discussed and analyzed the techniques in understanding a corporate’s financial report, which allows readers to get a more in-depth understanding of the risk involved in the corporate.

The seminar was divided into two parts. The first session invited Mr. Roy Lo, the partner of Shinewing (HK) C.P.A. Limited, to share on the topic "Investigating the financial information of listed company: Current situation and foreseeable changes” which covers the issues in understanding and modifying a financial report. The second session is related to the scope of the valuation of listed issuers. We invited Mr. Vincent Pang, the director of Avista Valuation Advisory Limited, to speak on the topic and explain in details to attendants. Finally, both speakers ended the seminar with a detailed analysis of the case studies, which clearly stated the techniques and tips in reading and understanding a financial report.
